Class Description:
This practice will be a beautiful way to find that state of abundance within that is
independent of external circumstances and always present.
In this experiential workshop, we will be exploring various practices that get us in touch
with the state of fullness within. This is a state that is always present, although our
awareness of it changes from moment to moment. If all comes from the One, and that
One is lacking nothing at all, then that is a state inherent in each being. Getting
glimpses of that Truth in practice can significantly change the way we are afterwards as
we move out into the world.
Those unfamiliar with Himalayan kriyas will be introduced to a variety in the practice.
Kriyas are practices working on the level of energy and can be activating or calming.
They are generally repetitive in nature, allowing one to experience an expanded state.
Kriyas may be breath based or mantra based.
This extended practice is most appropriate for students having at least several months
of experience with yoga. Please come with a relatively empty stomach and an open
mind! Having lunch is ok, just eat light and early.
What to Bring:
Please wear comfortable clothing.
About the Instructor:
Kalyani’s love for yoga began in 2003 when she discovered the asana (posture) practice of yoga. Overtime, she realized that yoga had much more to offer than just the physical benefits. As her personal practice grew, Kalyani wanted to be able to bring yoga to other people. She completed 200 hour teacher training in the Pranakriya tradition with Yoganand Michael Carroll in 2008. Kalyani’s desire to continue to learn from Yoganand led her to complete 500 hour advanced certification in 2011. Kalyani has been teaching yoga for over a decade and she also completed a 300 hr training under Dr. David Frawley and is an Ayurvedic Life-Style Consultant. In December 2020, Kalyani also completed her 300-hour yoga teacher training with Anand Mehrotra in Sattva Yoga.
