About this event
Each year, the Snohomish County chapter of Project Linus makes more than 2,000 blankets and gives them to children experiencing trauma. Project Linus is a national organization that provides handmade blankets to children from birth to 18 who are seriously ill, in distress, or otherwise in need. Would you like to be a part of this project and help sewers complete blankets? You can learn blanket construction and perhaps even how to sew them.
You can attend one of the monthly "work parties" to construct blankets. These events are held at Rosehill Community Center. No sewing experience is needed. Helpers can just show up ready to help during the time of the event. There will be sewers, and people are needed to help by doing the pinning, the batting (the soft, plush material on the inside of a blanket or quilt), or tying "knotted blankets." There are different things that non-sewers can do, but more sewers are always welcome, too! If you are a sewer, you can bring your machine.
Drop in any time during event!
