ABSOLUTE BEGINNER Contemporary

About this event

LEVEL: ABSOLUTE BEGINNER Designed specifically for dancers with little to no previous dance experience. These classes introduce foundational movement concepts and skills at a comfortable pace, creating a welcoming space to learn, explore, and have fun. Dancers with some experience who prefer a slower-paced introduction are also welcome. ABOUT THE CLASS Drawing on influences of modern, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and many other forms, contemporary classes will allow dancers to explore a broad range of movement languages. Dancers will gain an understanding of technical safety while breaking from traditional conventions as they explore a wide range of movement qualities, dynamic level changes, and both choreography and improvisation. DROP-IN CLASS This is a drop-in class, meaning you can join whenever it works for your schedule. Classes are not a series and are not designed to be taken in sequence. You can jump in at any point and don't need to attend every week.
