SIFF Book Club: Twilight in 35mm

About this event

Welcome to SIFF Book Club, a bimonthly screening and meetup that combines bookworms and cinephiles. You’re given two months to pore over the book before joining us for a Sunday afternoon screening of its most acclaimed adaptation. Want to watch the movie but didn’t read the book? Join us anyway! Every screening partners with a local bookstore, who’ll table in the lobby with book recommendations to supplement the current Book Club title. After the film, we’ll gather at The Traveling Goat to have an informal Book Club discussion. It's time to get cozy this winter with TWILIGHT! We're reading (or rereading for the umpteenth time) Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novel and then watching (or rewatching for the zillionth time) Catherine Hardwicke's adaptation, presented in 35mm. Arrive early to check out Beguiled Books’ swoon-worthy selections and local artist Chloe Ladwig’s Cullen-approved prints. Forever Twilight in Forks will be joining us too! Chat with them in the lobby to learn more about their festival and collection. In recognition of the flawed way in which the “Twilight” book and film series depict the Quileute Tribe, we're donating a portion of ticket proceeds to the Quileute Move to Higher Ground Project, and we encourage you to do the same to the extent that you are able.
