BLACK SEASON WITCH
Black Season Witch is a Chicago-based band and art collective known for their signature "Cinematic Goth" and Industrial Rock sound. Their music is a dark fusion of industrial, classical, and heavy metal, often described as having a "ritual vibe" with haunting atmospheres and theatrical horror elements. The group is a staple of the Chicago alternative scene and is heavily influenced by the city's legendary industrial history, including icons like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails. Their performances feature a unique blend of modern gothic intensity, unholy classical and industrial tones, and "hellfire riffs". They are noted for their immersive live shows that incorporate goth film backdrops and projected imagery, creating an atmosphere akin to a "private séance". Critics and the band's own bio place them somewhere between Type O Negative and The Sisters of Mercy, balancing doom-goth gravity with graveyard romanticism.
