- ➤ America250 and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delivered a semitruck with 40,000 pounds of food to The Salvation Army on Jan. 15 — one of 250 planned to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary and support families across Snohomish County. Everett Herald
- ➤ The YMCA of Snohomish County marks its 125th anniversary today by planning storytelling events that honor decades of community service at six branches (child care, swim lessons and youth programs support local families). - ➤ Port of Everett Commission approved a three-year lease for Seattle-based S3 Maritime to build a marine services facility at the Waterfront Center; the new space offers 2,600 sqft of office + retail space and will open early March. Everett Post

- ➤ Data from the Washington State Employment Security Department shows Snohomish County’s unemployment hit 5.1% in November—the highest since September 2022—while 300 new jobs were added. Many local residents working in King County’s tech sector were affected by layoffs. Everett Herald
