- ➤ Snohomish PUD is adjusting how it manages Spada Lake because warmer winter rains and faster snow melts force the team to balance flood control and summer water needs — they are using climate models to guide decisions amid shifting weather patterns. Everett Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents experienced increased vehicle traffic and simulated explosive sounds as a planned anti-terrorism training exercise began Monday at Naval Station Everett (Exercise Citadel Shield-Solid Curtain) to improve readiness, though the Navy said disruptions were minimized. Everett Herald
- ➤ Everett will begin building the Port Gardner Storage Facility near Port Gardner Bay by the end of January to help stop sewer overflows during heavy rain. The 200 million dollar project will finish by the end of 2027 and includes a labor agreement with local workers. Everett Herald
