- ➤ Snohomish County Council approved a partnership with the Washington Trails Association to build an accessible loop trail north of Lake Cassidy between Highway 9 and 123rd Ave NE, with funding ($150,000 from the 2025-26 budget) set for completion by Sept. 30. Everett Herald
- ➤ Light rain fell overnight at Paine Field, breaking a dry streak of 14 days with just 0.03 inch recorded and keeping this month's totals below average. Forecasts say additional systems will bring some rain through this weekend — though Saturday, Jan. 31 should remain dry. Everett Post
