- ➤ Bill Odgers celebrated his 101st birthday on Jan. 15 at Normanna Lodge (2725 Oakes Ave.) with family, friends, and dance enthusiasts as he danced on the maple floor. The weekly ballroom dances meet each Thursday from 1-3 p.m and the centenarian said his passion for dancing keeps him joyful. Snohomish County Tribune
- ➤ The Seahawk House in Monroe on Fryelands Boulevard is lit with festive displays — now featuring Blitz on the porch for Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 — and the owners plan to add roof lights next year to continue their tradition. - ➤ Everett Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for its free 12-week Community Academy that runs Thursday evenings from March 12 to May 28 at the South Precinct. Registration closes on Feb. 15, so interested participants should apply promptly. Snohomish County Tribune
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Since June 2023, Snohomish County has embedded licensed mental health professionals with first responders to help manage crisis calls & provide follow-up support. The program faces challenges in offering 24-hour coverage and will require long-term funding beyond its current grant ending in 2027. Snohomish County Tribune

- ➤ Nomination for the Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame 2026 Induction Class opened Feb. 1 and will accept entries until Monday, March 2 via an online form or email.
