- ➤ Kayak Point Regional Park will resume phase two improvements on Feb. 17 with work ending in October to update water lines, asphalt and amenities. The lower area (boat launch and pier) will close until June 30 while local funds and a $2 million grant cover $4.5 million cost. Everett Herald

- ➤ Marlene Sweet started a GoFundMe campaign on Sunday to help cover the ten-thousand two-hundred-dollar monthly memory care cost for her husband, Roger Sweet, who helped design the He-Man toy line, & whose care needs are growing. Everett Herald
- ➤ Washington State Fire Marshal has issued a safety warning on lithium-ion batteries used in everyday devices after several fire incidents in Everett. The advisory urges residents to use certified devices and proper charging practices and to contact the Fire Marshal’s Office (360-596-3904) for more safety tips. My Everett News
