- ➤ Boeing announced its new North Line for 737 MAX jets, which will open this summer in Everett. The production boost will increase output from 38 to 42 jets monthly initially and eventually reach 63, with new job openings available. My Everett News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Everett Public Schools proposals passed in a Special Election with 62.60% for the School Construction Bond and 63.35% for the Education Levy from Feb. 10 votes. The bond and levy will pay for renovations, construction, and academic programs over eight years while raising tax rates by $0.30 per $1,000 AV. Everett Post
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sound Transit will begin final testing this Saturday for extra Link trains running between Lynnwood and downtown Seattle using simulated service that doubles train frequency during peak hours with 1 Line + 2 Line trains. The test is a preview of the new 2 Line opening on March 28. Everett Herald
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Snohomish County Board of Health approved a resolution on Tuesday urging the state to keep funding for vital public health services that support emergency response and outbreak control. Officials will work with legislators to prevent a 40% funding cut — a threat to communicable disease and maternal child programs. Everett Herald
