- ➤ Tapped Public House opened Monday at the Port of Everett on Restaurant Row and offers Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes from a 6,000 sqft venue overlooking the marina. The opening is part of a $20 million waterfront project that aims to boost visitor revenue & enhance community dining options. Everett Herald

- ➤ Andrew Vait’s tribute show 'Madman Across the Water' will perform Elton John classics at Tulalip Resort Casino on Apr. 3 at 7 p.m. & at Quil Ceda Creek Casino on Apr. 16 at 7 p.m., offering fans a low-cost trip down memory lane. Everett Herald
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Everett Public Schools increased AP class enrollment over the past five years, with about a third to over half of high school students taking college-level courses. The district held an IB event at Cascade High School and plans to launch IB courses in fall (district outreach ongoing). Everett Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The SBA opened a Disaster Loan Center at Snohomish Library to help locals recover from December floods; it is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will add Saturday hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting March 7 to offer low-interest loans. Everett Post

- ➤ Everett Silvertips clinched the Western Conference top seed in a 6-4 win over Wenatchee and now hold home ice advantage in the WHL playoffs. They will play Portland this weekend — with games at Angel of the Winds Arena and Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Everett Herald
- ➤ On Wednesday, Glacier Peak boys basketball bounced back with a 57 to 38 win over Woodinville at the Tacoma Dome to reach the 4A quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Meadowdale girls basketball lost 53 to 37 in a 3A Round of 12 game. Everett Herald
- ➤ At the state girls basketball tournaments, Archbishop Murphy defeated Port Angeles 53-29 on Wednesday, and local teams continue the contest today with Snohomish playing at 9 p.m., Archbishop Murphy meeting Prosser at 12:15 p.m., and King’s playing Seton Catholic at 5:30 p.m. Everett Herald
- ➤ Edmonds-Woodway boys basketball secured a tight 49-46 victory against Prairie at the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday morning, propelling them into the quarterfinals to face Bellarmine Prep tomorrow. Senior DJ Karl led the team with 17 points and key rebounds. Everett Herald
- ➤ The Snohomish Sky women's semi-pro indoor soccer team clinched the WISL title with an 8-5 win over Tacoma Galaxy on Feb. 21 and will compete for a national championship in Las Vegas from March 26-29 while fundraising (over $3500 raised towards a $6000 goal) to cover their trip.
