- ➤ Judy Tuohy, who led the Schack Arts Center for 32 years, announced her retirement with a planned departure in May as she prepares the center for a smooth transition and growth from a grassroots group to a 19,000 sqft community arts hub. Snohomish County Tribune
- ➤ On Tuesday, Mar. 17, Snohomish County celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at Shawn O’Donnell’s, an Irish restaurant and bar south of Everett city limits. The venue opened its doors at 7 a.m. offering breakfast, musical performances, dancing, and face painting as part of its 20th celebration. Everett Herald

- ➤ Last Saturday, scouts from across Snohomish County learned vital life-saving skills at Fire Station 71 in Clearview as light snow fell; volunteers taught CPR, defibrillator use, and the Heimlich maneuver (firefighter Brandon Larosa said the training builds confidence in emergencies). - ➤ Shaw Michaels, a 10-year-old blackbelt from NW Sport Taekwondo (Monroe), won a bronze medal at World Taekwondo’s U.S. Open Taekwondo Championship in Las Vegas held March 5–8.
