ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • WSU Snohomish County Extension will teach a Waste Warriors course on recycling and waste reduction. Held every Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Willis Tucker Park between May 13 and June 10 (plus three field trips), the $40 course offers a 10% early discount.  Everett Herald

  • Twenty-one AquaSox alumni are on MLB Opening Day rosters—eight with the Mariners. The AquaSox will open their 2026 season on April 3 at Avista Stadium before hosting a Home Opener on April 7 against the Tri-City Dust Devils.  My Everett News
  • Snohomish opened league play with an eight-inning duel as Abby Edwards struck out 10 for her team while Monroe’s Holly Pettitt recorded nine Ks, and other high school games produced wins for Kamiak and Shorewood.  Everett Herald
  • At Arlington H.S. on Thursday, March 26, local prep teams posted strong results as Arlington teams dominated both boys and girls events over Marysville Getchell and Everett; schools from Lynnwood, Veterans Memorial, and Everett Memorial competed at other venues + non-league matchups unfolded at Frank Goddard Stadium.  Everett Herald
  • On Thursday, Mar. 26, the Cascade boys golf team won the Everett School District championship at Legion G.C.—they scored 324 while Jackson and Everett posted 325 and 332, respectively.  Everett Herald
  • The Chargers earned their first win when Marysville Getchell beat Everett 8 to 5 on Thursday, March 26 — Caleb Johnson’s double and other key plays powered the victory as Everett’s offense struggled.  Everett Herald
  • Today the Everett Silvertips start their best-of-seven WHL playoff series against the Portland Winterhawks at Angel of the Winds Arena with Game 1 at 7:05 p.m. The series will continue with games scheduled into early April.  Everett Post
