ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A residential fire broke out on Friday night at 11:12 p.m. at a property on the 13500 block of Manor Way near the Lake Stickney off-leash dog park, leading 21 fire units to contain the blaze in about 30 minutes (no injuries were reported) as investigators probe its cause. My Everett News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Everett Silvertips won an 8 to 1 game at Angel of the Winds Arena on Friday in the first round of the WHL Playoffs. The team scored early goals and showed its strength as Julius Miettinen and goalie Anders Miller led a dominant performance. Everett Herald
- ➤ The Silvertips outscored the Winterhawks 4-1 on Saturday to take a 2-0 series lead at Angel of the Winds Arena, with rookie forward Rhys Jamieson quickly tying the game after Portland opened the score. The team has outscored their opponent 12-2 in the first two games. Everett Herald
- ➤ On Friday, Snohomish registered a win when Trevor Vorderbruggen struck out the final batter to hand Stanwood its first loss, and on Saturday, Lake Stevens overcame an early deficit when six runs were scored in the third inning.
