  • Yuliana Flores-Montes, a business office manager at Optum, is among 12 finalists for The Herald Business Journal’s Emerging Leaders awards with the winner to be announced Tuesday, Apr. 7.   • On Thursday, Lake Stevens Vikings (3-1 overall, 2-0 league) rallied in a 10-8 shootout against Jackson's Timberwolves by scoring seven runs in the later frames, and in Everett, Arlington Eagles (4-4, 1-2) earned their first league win in a six-inning game.  Everett Herald
  • On Thursday, Apr. 2, Kamiak won 3-2 over Arlington when Jonah Swardstrom hit a walk-off single in the seventh to complete a three-run rally; Colby Koga scored twice and Cole Armstrong-Hoss pitched four innings allowing two hits to help the Knights improve to 5-2.  Everett Herald
  • Prep girls tennis on Thursday, Apr. 2 was disrupted by rain at local high schools; Everett tied with Lynnwood 3-3 while matches at Stanwood, Monroe, Edmonds-Woodway, Cascade and Glacier Peak were delayed or canceled.   • Everett Silvertips overcame a 2-0 deficit to win Game Four 6-3 over the Portland Winterhawks at Veterans Memorial Coliseum and sweep the Western Conference Quarterfinal series; Round Two begins at Angel of the Winds Arena on Apr. 10.  Everett Post
