- ➤ A 45-year-old Everett man, Kevin Torres Velasquez, was arrested on Thursday on federal drug charges after authorities with a SWAT team seized over 20 pounds of fentanyl — enough to kill millions — from his apartment earlier this year, and he appeared in U.S. District Court on Friday at 2 p.m. Everett Herald

- ➤ On April 10, the Everett Cultural Arts Commission honored local artists with The Wendt & Mayor’s Arts Awards, awarding former council member Brenda Stonecipher for championing the arts and recognizing groups like Bunker Arts Collective, Huong Viet Performing Arts Group, educator Christopher Gove, and former publisher Leland Dart for their work.
