- ➤ The Pilchuck Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will host a Rhododendron festival at a local nursery on Saturday, Apr. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature a truss show of both unusual and common varieties and offer plant care tips (no registration required). - ➤ Janet Louise Carlson, the founding director who created Sno-Isle TECH, died peacefully on March 24 at age 97. In 2025 she visited the school to recall its early days as a vocational skills center serving 12 districts. My Everett News
