- ➤ Everett Police say the Region 1 SWAT team responded to reports of shots fired at the Farwest Motel at 6030 Evergreen Way—two people were taken into custody after a four‑hour standoff. My Everett News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Parents held a protest Friday at the Snohomish School District Resource and Service Center—saying the district did not clearly communicate about an incident at Machias Elementary on March 26 when a student allegedly showed an inert training gun and a hit list. Families have kept their children home because of safety concerns and want clearer updates before the student returns. Everett Herald
- ➤ Dr. Gerry Ebalaroza-Tunnell visited Discovery Elementary School on April 17th to share her book 'Let's Live A.L.O.H.A.' with students—she held an interactive reading session and distributed signed copies. She will continue her book tour with a visit to Horizon Elementary School on May 9th. Everett Post
