- ➤ Judy Tuohy received the prestigious Richard & Nancy Wendt Award of Excellence at the Wendt & Mayor’s Arts Awards on April 23 at the Everett Performing Arts Center, honoring her 32 years leading Schack Art Center and building a vibrant arts community. My Everett News
- ➤ Raedle Alburn was named Executive Director of the Schack Art Center in downtown Everett as Judy Tuohy (retiring in May) steps down. Alburn will lead strategic planning, fundraising and community partnerships to expand local visual arts opportunities. My Everett News

- ➤ At Friday's prep baseball game, Mountlake Terrace beat Shorecrest 7-0 with Jack Gripentrog pitching seven innings and allowing one hit, while Boswell and Spence drove in the runs as the Hawks recorded their shutout win. Everett Herald
- ➤ Abby Edwards pitched a no-hitter and hit two homers on Friday, Apr. 24 for Snohomish in a 9-0 win over the Hawks, striking out 13 and allowing two walks. The Panthers improved their record with her standout prep softball performance. Everett Herald
