CULTURE NEWS

  • Everett Music Initiative announced the Music At the Marina concert series at the Port of Everett, set to run every Thursday from July 10 to Aug. 28. The free concerts will feature bands including Nite Wave, Santa Poco, The Little Lies, Moxie, Steel Beans and Small Paul, Victims of Love, Queen Mother, and LeRoy Bell and His Only Friends—offering food trucks and a beer garden for those 21 or older.  Everett Herald

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Northbound SR 529 will be closed at the Steamboat Slough Bridge from 11 p.m. May 2 until 11 p.m. May 6 and again from 11 p.m. May 9 until 11 p.m. May 13 for repairs that protect the bridge from corrosion and keep its movable spans working. Motorists can use the open lane and a shuttle service for pedestrians, cyclists, and people with mobility needs (southbound closures are planned tentatively later in May).  Everett Post
