- ➤ Lake Stevens resident Roger Sweet (91), co-creator of Masters of the Universe, died Tuesday at his memory care facility; his wife Marlene launched a GoFundMe to help cover the $10,200 monthly uncovered cost. His passing comes ahead of the movie set for release on June 5. Everett Herald

- ➤ On Tuesday, Apr. 28, the Mariners beat the Twins 7+1 at Target Field as the Twins failed to convert key scoring opportunities and their bullpen struggled. The loss followed a one-day reprieve in a recent 12-game slump. Everett Herald
- ➤ The Everett Silvertips won a 4-2 game against the Vees in Penticton on April 28 to clinch a spot in the WHL Final, marking their third time in franchise history. Game One will be held Friday, May 8 with Game Two following Saturday, May 9. Everett Post
