- ➤ The city and community partners will host Clean Everett Day on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will pick up litter and drop off unwanted items at four school sites to help keep neighborhoods clean. Everett Post

- ➤ Novanta Corporation filed a notice that its Mukilteo location will close on July 7, affecting 83 workers at 4600 Campus Place south of Boeing. The company will continue operations in nine other cities. My Everett News
- ➤ Stephan Banchero III, Cedar Grove president, won the John M. Fluke Sr. Award on April 14 in Everett for his work in waste management. He said a planned rail loop on adjacent property — meant to boost freight transport — will operate in two to three years. Everett Herald

- ➤ Everett Public Schools superintendent Dr. Ian Saltzman received the Elson S. Floyd Award during the Economic Alliance Snohomish County meeting on April 14, recognizing his role in bolstering local education. His leadership helped secure levy and bond funding that will support school renovations and new construction. Everett Herald

- ➤ Snohomish County PUD received the Opportunity Lives Here Award on Apr. 14 at the Economic Alliance meeting. The utility (which powers 380,000 homes) is partnering with Everett Transit and Community Transit to deploy clean energy innovations and enhance electric bus charging. Everett Herald

- ➤ On Wednesday, the Everett City Council approved a new land use zone that protects seven manufactured home communities from redevelopment (securing affordable housing) as part of the 2025 comprehensive plan update. Everett Herald

- ➤ Mukilteo sports chiropractor Marc Van Dreissche, who has run Beverly Park Chiropractic for over 30 years, accepted the Sports Chiropractor of the Year award from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians on April 24 in Dallas plus he built a strong reputation for patient care keeping athletes active. - ➤ After a series sweep over the Penticton Vees, the Everett Silvertips are well-rested and ready to begin their WHL Championship series against the Prince Albert Raiders today at Angel of the Winds Arena. - ➤ Felnin Celesten’s two-run home run and Josh Caron’s two-run single helped the Everett AquaSox beat the Hillsboro Hops 5-4 last night at Everett Memorial Stadium — securing their third win in a six-game series. Everett Herald
- ➤ Kamiak softball clinched a perfect league season with a 5-4 win against Lake Stevens on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Cam Hansen drove in three runs as the Knights remained undefeated (10-0 league) in a back-and-forth game. Everett Herald
- ➤ Yesterday, prep boys soccer saw strong performances as Edmonds-Woodway, Snohomish, Lynnwood and Everett won their loser-out games while Lakewood advanced to the district semifinal. These results set the stage for Saturday matchups in local tournaments. Everett Herald
