  • Everett and South Whidbey ports will launch Harbor Hopper, a walk-on ferry service connecting Everett and Langley beginning June 4, with two trips each way on most Thursdays and Saturdays until Aug. 29 + fares range from $10 to $12 one-way or $16 to $20 round trip.  Everett Herald

  • On Thursday, Funko reported a 44.2% gross margin—the highest in its history—at its downtown headquarters, showing improved sales in Pop! vinyl figures as part of its turnaround plan; CEO Josh Simon said the strong Q1 performance builds on momentum from previous months.  Everett Herald

  • The USDA warns that the invasive Asian Needle Ant is emerging in North Sound areas amid record warm winters—this pest carries a dangerous sting that can trigger severe allergic reactions, so locals are advised to exercise caution when outdoors.  Everett Post

  • The Everett AquaSox ended their six-game Northwest League series on Monday, May 11 with an eight to five loss to the Hillsboro Hops before 2,261 fans at Memorial Stadium (they won five games overall and now tie for second with the Tri-City Dust Devils).  Everett Herald
  • Kamiak’s Knights earned a state softball berth by winning 8–6 over Redmond on Monday, May 11. Olivia Martinez drove in six runs and the team will face Issaquah at Phil Johnson Fields Wednesday at 6 p.m.  Everett Herald
