GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Snohomish County Public Works will resurface 76 miles of roads this summer by paving 7 miles and chip sealing 69 miles to extend their service life—drivers using 140th Street NW/NE are advised to plan alternate routes due to single-lane closures along a 4-mile stretch. The work is part of a proactive maintenance program designed to reduce more expensive repairs in the future. Everett Herald
- ➤ Eight firefighters (the Snohomish Eight) are suing Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue for alleged religious discrimination after the department denied their requests for religious Covid-19 vaccine exemptions and placed them on unpaid leave.
