- ➤ A Snohomish County judge on Monday denied a motion to dismiss the case against Raul Benitez Santana (34), who is accused of killing state trooper Chris Gadd in a March 2024 crash on I-5, and jury selection begins today with the trial set to last three weeks. Everett Herald

- ➤ Snohomish County is conducting a climate resiliency survey until May 23—asking residents to share their observations of extreme heat, flooding, and wildfire smoke.
