- ➤ Everett Police recovered two bodies from a May 21 boating incident in Possession Sound using the Innerspace Exploration Team’s expertise — they also retrieved the overturned boat on May 22 while still searching for the third missing person. My Everett News

- ➤ Frontier Airlines began service at Paine Field on Monday with water cannons greeting the first arrival as CEO Brent Smith cut a ribbon & a porcupine from Woodland Park Zoo greeted passengers, though only a few seats on the inaugural Airbus 320 flight from Phoenix were filled. The airline will fly once a day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with discount fares and plans to boost passenger numbers as it adds new routes after United ended Denver service in October 2021. - ➤ Frontier Airlines began service at Everett – Paine Field on June 2, joining Alaska, Kenmore and San Juan Airlines to serve western U.S. destinations. The first arriving flight from Phoenix was greeted with a water cannon salute during a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 10:45 a.m.—the carrier will offer flights to Denver, Las Vegas and Phoenix three days a week. - ➤ Today, Washington launched a new statewide database that tracks police use-of-force incidents to guide law enforcement policies — the tool, called the Washington State Data Exchange for Public Safety, is managed by Washington State University. Law enforcement agencies must begin monthly reporting by Sept. 2 — officials expect the database to boost transparency and public safety. KUOW

- ➤ Kaiser Permanente began welcoming patients at its new Everett facility today. The $140 million expansion adds 154,000 square feet with six specialty service pods, updated technology, and a new five-story parking garage (724 stalls) at 2929 Pine St. Everett Herald
- ➤ Area waterways remain colder than 60°, and cold water shock is the leading cause of drownings, so safety experts urge all paddlers and boaters to wear Coast Guard life jackets—this tip helps prevent dangerous accidents on lakes, rivers and Puget Sound.
