Good morning, Everett.

On June 21, Everett Pride held its third-annual block party on Wetmore Avenue amid a light rain that saw over 100 vendors, food trucks and drag performances.

Local officials marked the event by recognizing Pride Month at City Council and launching an exhibit called Love, Equally—celebrating marriage equality until September.

Revive Bowls and Smoothies opened its permanent downtown location on June 20th at 2831 W Marine View Dr. The new store offers smoothies and bowls made with 100% frozen fruit — and it uses ingredients from local suppliers — to serve the community with fresh, family-run flavors.

Snohomish County Public Utility District will change its contract with Bonneville on October 1 to buy energy in a way that keeps costs low during severe weather.

The new deal lets the PUD buy only what it needs — a move that will help prevent costly power purchases.

The city will make temporary traffic changes for the July 4 Colors of Freedom festival and fireworks at Legion Memorial Park, closing the Hibulb Lookout parking lot from July 3 to July 5 and restricting nonresident access on part of Alverson Boulevard starting at 6 a.m. July 4—residents should expect increased pedestrian traffic between 10:30 p.m. and midnight—so drivers are urged to plan ahead.
