- ➤ Everett Police investigated a deadly shooting on the 7700 block of Evergreen Way near Cascade High School last night—two men were shot, one died and the other remains in critical condition. My Everett News

- ➤ Everett Improv will close permanently in August after 6 years of hosting local events. Owner and comedian Britney Barber said she is moving to the East Coast to be near her son — the venue will stay open until its last night on August 9th. My Everett News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Western Washington University will offer a new multilingual education program this fall at Everett Community College for Snohomish and Skagit county school district employees. Graduates will earn a bachelor's in multilingual elementary education, a teaching certificate and an endorsement for English language learners or bilingual education — adding to the region's growing dual language opportunities. - ➤ Officials warned visitors not to dive off Mukilteo Fishing Pier—where strong currents, limited visibility and ferry traffic raise dangers and cause ferry delays—to follow posted signage and avoid risky behavior during the warmer months. Everett Herald
- ➤ Washington Attorney General Nick Brown said he will continue to fight limits on birthright citizenship after the Supreme Court ruled restricting the power of federal judges—an action that keeps an injunction in place for Washington. Brown said he and other attorneys general will use the next 30 days to seek legal remedies to maintain automatic citizenship for all babies born in the U.S. KUOW
