The union says a $20.50 base wage and a requirement of 2—3 bylines a day force reporters to rush important stories.

Everett is hosting National Night Out Against Crime, a community event where police, fire, and emergency management will visit neighborhoods on Tuesday, Aug.

A federal judge in Seattle sentenced a 73-year-old Arizona man to four years in prison, 10 years of supervised release, a $3,000 restitution payment, and required him to register as a sex offender after he traveled from Tucson to Everett with the intent to meet an undercover agent posing as a 13-year-old — he had sent explicit images and possessed child sexual abuse images on his phone.
