- ➤ The new off-leash dog area at Clark Park is now open and residents are enjoying the updated space—improved lighting and playground upgrades were also added as part of the $360,000 project completed in partnership with the Bayside Neighborhood Association, while the historic gazebo was removed due to safety concerns. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Washington State University Everett announced a three-year, $450,000 grant that will send seven students to Linköping University in Sweden for cybersecurity and artificial intelligence research next spring—students will receive a $12,000 fellowship while additional cohorts participate in 2027 and 2028 and applications are open until Sep.15. - ➤ Snohomish County invites residents to share opinions on four playground design alternatives for the park at 11928 Beverly Park Rd — the five-minute survey is open until Aug. 11th. Construction will begin in spring 2026 to replace outdated equipment at an estimated cost of $600,000 funded by local and grant money. Everett Post
