- ➤ Mill Creek Community Food Bank broke ground Monday, Aug. 4 in Mill Creek after receiving ($200,000) in donations following damage from a fallen tree. The new 80-foot-long by 56-foot-wide warehouse planned by the Hope Creek Charitable Foundation will offer safer, more organized food distribution for 450 families. Everett Herald

- ➤ At a July 24 board meeting, Sound Transit announced an Enterprise Initiative — a new plan to realign its ST-3 system due to rising costs and a budget gap — and said it expects to deliver updated plans by mid-2026. Everett Post
