- ➤ On August 20, Everett Fire Chief Dave DeMarco honored five community members with the Citizen Life-Saving Award for rescuing an 11-year-old at Silver Lake on July 8—an act that showcased the bravery of 13-year-old Gauge Bryant. City of Everett
- ➤ Everett officials recognized a 13-year-old Sedro-Woolley teen, Gauge Bryant, and three nurses when Fire Department Chief Dave DeMarco presented citizen life-saving awards for rescuing an 11-year-old boy from drowning in Silver Lake during a council meeting on Wednesday. The rescue took place in July when Bryant dove into the water and nurses performed CPR, and the boy spent days in the hospital before fully recovering—none of the rescuers sought recognition. - ➤ Port of Everett is recruiting a breakfast or lunch cafe to join Restaurant Row at Waterfront Place, where tenants include Rustic Cork Wine Bar, Tapped Public House and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.
