- ➤ Yesterday, the Community Response Team arrested a male drug dealer with a felony warrant on the 9900 block of Evergreen Way—tips led officers to recover over $5,000 in cash, fentanyl powder, and a loaded stolen firearm during the search incident. My Everett News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Everett’s Historic Theatre reopened after a summer of cancelled shows following a full renovation by new owner Johnny Phan—upgrades include fresh paint, new carpets, and air conditioning that led to improved comfort. The 800-seat venue will start hosting new performances on September 26 with tribute band Taylor Made and Haley Reinhard with the Davanos on September 27. Everett Post

- ➤ Wildlife biologists for the Stillaguamish Tribe found that 5 of 6 dead eagles showed signs of rodent poison from bait boxes placed near homes — the poison risks harming food chains and local traditions. The tribe will work with communities on safer pest control as further tests have been delayed by federal funding cuts. Everett Herald

- ➤ A Snohomish County Superior Court judge granted Everett intervention in a residency case involving City Council candidate Niko Battle after officials could not serve him at a south Everett apartment complex lacking a unit number. A hearing to decide his eligibility is set for Sept. 9—officials said that if Battle is ruled ineligible, Luis Burbano will take his place. Everett Herald
