- ➤ Outdoor writer Ken Wilcox, author of Hiking Snohomish County: 140 Hikes and Walks, has shared his fall hiking recommendations—ranging from a renovated boardwalk at Scriber Lake to moderate trails at Lord Hill—in Snohomish County. - ➤ West Mukilteo Boulevard between Elm Street and Ridgemont Drive will use alternating one-way lanes for contractor Granite Construction’s shoulder work starting as early as September 10 that is expected to last about two working days+ flaggers will manage traffic flow and maintain property and emergency access. - ➤ Snohomish County Elections' 'Elections Explained' initiative earned the 2025 Professional Practices Independence Award at the National Association of Election Officials conference in Salt Lake City in August—an honor that highlighted its work to make voter information more accessible ahead of the November 2024 election.
