- ➤ The Snohomish County Marine Resources Committee will host a talk on kelp and eelgrass beds from 5—6:30 p.m. at the Rosehill Community Center on Wednesday. Community members will hear scientists share long-term monitoring data from Puget Sound to understand these vital coastal habitats. Everett Herald
- ➤ Three 9/11 remembrance events will be held in the Everett area on September 11. Everett Civic Auditorium hosts the 2nd Annual Monumental Talks from 7:00–8:30 p.m. featuring local mayors and veteran storytelling, Paine Field holds a ceremony with coffee afterward from 8:30–10:00 a.m., and South County Firefighters present a memorial at Fallen Firefighter Memorial Park in Edmonds at 9:11 a.m. — honoring local heroes and those lost. - ➤ Everett Public Library is celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month — 'One Card, Endless Possibilities' — by inviting residents to sign up at its Main and Evergreen branches to access books, free classes, story times, study rooms, streaming media and practical kits like a sewing machine, blood pressure monitoring and home canning supplies. The library also has visits scheduled on Sept.22 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Carl Gipson Center and on Sept.23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Connect Casino Road. Everett Post

- ➤ A 48-year-old Edmonds man was booked on suspicion of attempted murder after he assaulted two massage employees at Eva Spa Massage on Sunday by striking them with a metal coat rack — police said he fled on foot as witnesses reported the attack was targeted and the victims were taken to hospital.
