Thatcher Johnson has spent three years building a life-size replica of a B-17 bomber cockpit in his north Everett garage using materials from local hardware stores and detailed blueprints, and he continues to add intricate details.

He will donate the finished cockpit to a museum to honor World War II legacy—an endeavor that connects local history with national pride.
