5, WSDOT begins safety projects on U.S. 2 between Monroe and Gold Bar; a new roundabout at Old Owen Road and temporary overnight bypass closures aim to improve traffic flow for commuters.
Mayor Cassie Franklin proposed the Everett Forward investment package to update the B&O tax, raising the exemption for small businesses and lowering rates for retailers + supporting downtown improvements and plans for an Outdoor Event Center.
The City Council briefed the proposal yesterday.
