- ➤ Homage Senior Services opened its new Everett facility at 1715 100th Place SW on Tuesday and named former pastor Jay Kang as CEO—aiming to extend its services to older adults and people with disabilities beyond Snohomish County. The nonprofit moved from a seven-year operation in Lynnwood with a reduced space from 36,000 to 9,000 square feet to better focus on outreach across the region. Everett Herald
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Snohomish County PUD received the Outstanding Stewards of America’s Waters Award for Operational Excellence last week at the Clean Currents Conference in Pittsburgh—this honor recognized its new predictive hydrologic models that offer one to 30 days of reservoir forecasts to support better water management and power generation decisions. The models were fully implemented in 2024 after record rainfall prompted the need for improved planning at Spada Lake Reservoir. My Everett News

- ➤ Port of Everett and its partners received the Valerie Sivinski Award for Outstanding Rehabilitation in September for restoring the century-old Weyerhaeuser Office Building—built in 1923 to showcase local wood products.
