ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Everett Fire extinguished a blaze at Wiggums Hollow Park at 9:30 a.m. today — the fire burned the new playground equipment and ruined the carpet. The incident is under investigation for possible foul play as the playground remains closed until further notice. My Everett News
- ➤ Everett firefighters responded to reports of flames at Wiggums Hollow Park at 9:47 a.m. Monday morning when the play equipment at 2808 10th Street was completely engulfed in fire (destroying the main structure) and the cause is under investigation. Everett Herald
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The City of Everett announced its 2026 Cultural Arts Grants, offering $40,000 to local nonprofits for free arts programs. Applications open Oct. 16 and close Nov. 26; awarded funds range from $2,000 to $5,000 and reimburse expenses for projects serving low-income groups in the city—grantees must complete their work in 2026. - ➤ Snohomish County’s Public Utility District updated its power outage map website so customers can zoom in to see details at each house and track repair progress.
