- ➤ Angel Resource Connection partnered with local Granite Falls restaurants to serve 100 hot meals, pet food, and winter coats on Nov 10—supporting community members affected by SNAP delays amid the government shutdown. Nearly 40 people lined up near the IGA picnic tables and all items were distributed in 15 minutes. Everett Herald
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A third-party investigation concluded that claims of adults stopping student participation and creating a toxic culture on the Mill Creek robotics team were unsubstantiated. The report, completed mid-October by an independent attorney’s firm, supports earlier findings that students led most of the design and building work + their input guided the team’s success. - ➤ Seattle-Paine Field Airport reported minor disruptions to commercial flights under the FAA mandate requiring a 10% cut by Nov. 14 due to the federal shutdown, while general aviation remains unaffected.
