- ➤ A former Everett barista is suing Starbucks for allegedly breaking the new city labor law by hiring new part-time workers instead of offering more hours to existing staff—attorney Gabe Frumkin said the class action seeks to recover twice the wages lost and to enforce a future compliance plan. The company has until Nov 20 to respond to the complaint in Snohomish County Superior Court. Everett Post
- ➤ Everett-based Funko warned in its SEC filing on Nov. 6 that without new funding or a new owner it may not operate for another 12 months — the company faces heavy debt and slowing sales, and its new CEO Josh Simon outlined a turnaround plan with rapid product launches such as a KPop Demon Hunters series — to regain market confidence.
