- ➤ A former Everett barista is suing Starbucks for allegedly breaking the new city labor law by hiring new part-time workers instead of offering more hours to existing staff—attorney Gabe Frumkin said the class action seeks to recover twice the wages lost and to enforce a future compliance plan. The company has until Nov 20 to respond to the complaint in Snohomish County Superior Court. Everett Post
