- ➤ The Tulalip Lights & Ice event will launch at 5 p.m. November 22 with 9.7 million lights lighting up sites 5 miles north of Everett—featuring outdoor ice skating, a holiday market and appearances by festive characters. - ➤ Earlier this year, researchers at the University of Washington published a study showing that the common spotted ratfish in Puget Sound has teeth on its forehead used in mating—this unusual feature offers new insights into evolution. KUOW
- ➤ Spill-response crews began digging up a blueberry farm near Everett on Tuesday to search for the leak's cause after a jet-fuel spill shut down the Olympic Pipeline's larger pipe while the 16-inch pipe resumed service on November 16.
