- ➤ Everett Community College and WSU Everett went on lockdown at 12:57 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 after police responded to a firearm disturbance near the campus — the lockdown ended at 1:11 p.m. when law enforcement confirmed suspects were in custody — and no one was harmed. My Everett News

- ➤ The City of Everett launched two new mobile walking tours that highlight downtown historical sites including National Register properties and were funded by a Washington State grant from the Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation—one tour is a short, one-hour option and the other offers a deeper look at the city’s past. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Jennifer Langbehn ruled Tuesday that a voter-approved measure making the Snohomish River a rights-bearing entity is invalid — the ruling now means community members must prove personal harm if the river is damaged. Environmental group Standing for Nature said it will appeal the decision, arguing that Everett voters clearly chose to protect the river. KUOW
