- ➤ Everett Firefighters and volunteers served a Thanksgiving feast with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and traditional sides at the Carl Gipson Center on Nov. 23. More than 125 guests were served in the first session — many walk-ins joined the second session — and Everett Police will host a holiday dinner on Dec. 14. Snohomish County Tribune

- ➤ BP's Olympic Pipeline restarted on Tuesday morning after nearly a two-week shutdown caused by a leak near Everett. Fuel is now being sent to Sea-Tac airport, allowing airlines to resume normal operations while BP develops a timeline for full repair. Everett Herald

- ➤ A new study found Mount Rainier is 10 feet shorter than in the 1990s after more than 20 feet of ice melted from Columbia Crest. The rocky high point shifted nearly the length of a football field to the southwest — a change linked to climate change — while officials review the study’s methods. KUOW

- ➤ The Lake Stevens Vikings advanced in the state football tournament after defeating No.7-ranked Moses Lake 76-41 on November 22 at their home field — they will face No.6-ranked Graham-Kapowsin in the semifinals on November 29 at 4 p.m. on Lake Stevens’ field — with the semifinal winner set to play in the state final on December 6 at Husky Stadium.
