- ➤ Three companies settled false claims of ineligible pandemic loans by agreeing to repay over $5.4 million; Everett company Umbra Cuscinetti Inc. will pay about $1.4 million while Podworks Corp. and Lotte Duty Free Guam LLC resolved issues regarding employee count and federal cannabis rules. - ➤ The City of Everett will dedicate new interpretive signage honoring trailblazing women on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 12 p.m. The ceremony takes place at the south side of the Everett Municipal Building along Wall Street and is led by local artist Deb Fox. City of Everett

- ➤ Everett’s Music Circle offers group music lessons for students ages eight and up, with live concerts held in local venues. The school will host a new performance in December with teens learning songs from popular bands - a unique way to build confidence and community. Everett Herald
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Department of Ecology released a report on Nov. 26 showing that $1.5 billion from Climate Commitment Act funds supported projects during the 2023-2025 biennium, with nearly $200 million in Snohomish County and 60% benefiting vulnerable communities.
