About this event

Come tell your story through movement!

You are invited to join us in "the round" (a.k.a. 'yurt') for a special offering leading into the holidays. We will be using embodiment practices, writing prompts, and dance to help you birth one of the stories you need to tell. We will witness and support each other in telling these stories through the voice and movement.

This is a great opportunity to relate with your personal life narratives by connecting with self-expression through the body. It's quite fulfilling and pleasurable not to have to figure it out and explain yourself or analytically make sense of it all. You will be expertly guided throughout the process. So, if you are new to the idea of not using your cognitive brain to communicate or work something out that lives deep within you, you may be pleasantly surprised how uplifting, unburdening, and freeing it is to be in a non-judgmental space that encourages you to

*No prior dance experience is needed; just a willingness to express yourself with your body.

The workshop will be followed by a community screening of Round, a 90-second dance film written and performed by Michelle, the facilitator.
